As part of this vision, we’re launching a brand-new frontend initiative — a true greenfield project to build our next-generation frontend engine from scratch. This team will define the architecture, standards, and framework that future game teams will build upon.

We are hiring a Frontend Engineer to help bring this vision to life.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the foundation of a next-generation gaming platform from day one.

You’ll work on building a high-performance frontend engine designed to power multiple games across the Playnetic portfolio. From architecture and rendering systems to developer experience and reusable tooling, your work will directly influence how future games are built.

We’re looking for engineers who care deeply about performance, maintainability, scalability, and craftsmanship.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and evolve a brand-new frontend engine

• Develop the first proof-of-concept game using this engine

• Build high-performance rendering and animation systems

• Establish reusable frameworks, standards, and best practices

• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams

• Ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance across the platform

• Strong expertise in TypeScript

• Commercial experience with PixiJS (essential)

• Experience building interactive web applications or game engines

• Strong understanding of performance optimisation and rendering

• Passion for clean architecture, maintainability, and scalable systems

• Strong collaboration and communication skills

What We’re Looking For

• Solid commercial experience as a Frontend Engineer

• Strong understanding of modern frontend development principles

• Ability to contribute to scalable, maintainable production systems

• Comfortable collaborating within cross-functional teams

• Eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a high-performing engineering culture

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience in iGaming, casino, or similar performance-heavy environments

• Experience building reusable frameworks or shared platforms

• Exposure to CI/CD, automation, or DevOps practices

• Experience with observability, performance tuning, or optimisation at scale

• Strong interest in long-term maintainability and system design

Location

We can hire across Bulgaria, Hungary or Poland - The role will initially be fully remote, with the potential to transition to a hybrid setup as our office hubs are established.
